Struggling with sexual desires is common. Don’t take it as a defect, it’s a trial for you. We cannot suppress these desires completely, neither we are allowed to follow them blindly.

Imagine fire. It can warm a home or burn it down. Sexual Desires works the same way. Allah placed this desire in humans to bond spouses, create families, and yes—even bring joy.

  • He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find comfort in them. (Quran 30:21)

If we show patience and hold these desires for a halal spouse, it will be a win-win situation. But at the same time, If we satisfy ourselves in a haram way, we become sinful.

  • Do not go near adultery. It is truly a shameful deed and an evil way. (Quran 17:32).

Most of us satisfy ourselves by watching bad videos (like porn), looking at wrong pictures, and do bad things alone (like masturbation).
